Between Where I Started and Where I Am

The woman in this image is wearing Yellow Bloom but more than a garment, she is wearing a year of learning, resilience, and constant recalibration. This year felt like standing at a platform with a suitcase full of experiences some beautiful, some bruising, all deeply instructive.

I learned that building a consumer brand isn’t about shortcuts. It’s about surviving reality long enough to truly understand it.

I discovered how tough it is to find the right distributors across regions not because they don’t exist, but because conversations, intent, and execution don’t always align. Many talks sounded promising; few converted into real partnerships.

I learned that not every popular “playbook” works. Influencer marketing looked powerful from afar, but it didn’t build meaningful sales or loyalty for YELLOW BLOOM . Some took products, some promised posts, many disappeared. That illusion is broken and clarity is empowering.

I learned that not every “agency” promising scale, grants or growth is built on integrity. A few disappeared after taking fees. Those were not failures but they were lessons in due diligence, trust, and discernment.

And yet, the most meaningful thing happened.
Yellow Bloom kept moving forward not through hype, but through repeat customers, trust, and genuine word-of-mouth. That is the real foundation of a brand.

During this journey, I kept my collaborative instinct open seeking guidance, support, and partnerships wherever possible. Some people helped, some ignored, and some under-performed after grand promises. I learned to accept disappointment as part of the founder’s job.

I also learned the importance of tough decisions. Cutting losses is a survival skill. Growth may take its own pace, but for a bootstrapped brand, survival depends on deciding fast, executing faster and accepting quickly when a decision isn’t working, instead of dragging it along.

The first half of this year and the months before it were about building the backbone of Yellow Bloom.
From designing and sourcing fabrics, developing prints, managing endless sampling loops and production… to onboarding across Amazon, Myntra, AJIO, Nykaa and our Shopify store every step demanded courage, patience, and persistence. Some months one platform led, sometimes another but together they kept momentum alive.

All this while, I was also running a home, raising a joyful child, staying grounded, disciplined, and intentional. Life now runs on clarity instead of chaos; priorities instead of panic.

This year didn’t give me shortcuts.
It gave me structure, resilience, courage and the wisdom to move forward with strength.

YELLOW BLOOM continues to grow.
And so do I.
